Hello, and thank you for your interest in my therapeutic coaching practice.

I graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and later went on to pursue training and certification as a Creative Depth Coach with my mentor Cat Caracelo of Journey Path Institute. The initial, year long program of studying depth psychology and process art therapy through a coaching lens changed the entire course of my life and allowed me to acquire the skills to meet clients from a holistic, person-centered perspective. My work with clients is deeply relational, strengths-based, values-oriented, eclectic and down-to-earth. I just love how much we can learn about ourselves through being creative in a focused, yet playful way.

I am also trained at the master-student level in the art of reiki with my mentor Rachel Chase of Rachel Chase Healing Arts. Learning how to utilize energy medicine was one of the most intuitive and profound experiences of my life. I am very grateful for this way of connecting to the universal power of love. Love is the ultimate healer.

Some of my other studies included the eye-opening books: The Power of Now, Women Who Run with Wolves, Emmanuel’s Book & The Wild Edge of Sorrow, Hatha yoga practice with Rob Walsh of Black Bear Yoga, traditional birth keeping with Whapio of The Matrona, functional family wellness with Jennifer Tow of Holistic IBCLC, women’s circles with the women of central Florida’s Red Tent, yoga nidra with Scott Moore Yoga, archetypal somatics with Melissa Meader of Synchrosoma, Mayan cosmology with Ricardo Sun Eagle of Cosmic Tolteca, holistic women’s health through The Blood Mysteries program with Nancy Lucina and Kristin Hauser just to name a few. I’m grateful to share I have also grown through many years of individual therapy, self-work, and good ol’ lived experience. Phew! What an adventure it has been thus far.

I am currently pursuing ordination as a gnostic minister with Adeenah Hammer of The Feminine Healing Ministries and I am blessed to lead small groups focused on the art of prayer, grief integration and women’s fellowship. My relationship with the divine is a contemplative, and yet body-based, practice. It is highly inclusive, non-dogmatic and seeks to hold space for all integrous ways of walking with God. I see the act of shared, divine contemplation as the highest honor to behold. I love to see how other people pray and uniquely commune with our beloved Creator. The oneness of this life is absolutely awesome to see experienced and expressed in so many unique ways. Read the poem I wrote about my ordination journey here

As a native Floridian, I grew up feeling a sense of belonging to natural places like New Smyrna Beach, the St. John’s River, gardens, small lakes, and many local springs. My love for, and connection with, the outdoors has been a grounding, and supremely orienting relationship that sets the foundation for everything else in my life.

Coming from a family rich with talented artists, I understand the beauty, and the potential mind-chatter involved in the call to share our innate creativity with the world. I have learned to enjoy art for the sake of the personal experience, the process itself, not necessarily the finished product. I find that approaching art-making (or intuitive, creative expression, if you will) in this way to be very freeing, which allows the fun back in, like the finger-painting of my childhood. I believe our relationship with “art” can be transformed into a playful, restorative experience that unshackles the mind, awakens the body, and heals the soul. I have seen this to be true for the people I have been blessed to study and work with as well.

In my free time, I enjoy my children, women’s circles, reading, cooking, swimming, hiking, thrift stores, art shows, sunbathing, studying herbalism & homesteading, savoring sunsets, sitting in prayer, and envisioning my forever home on a little piece of land with all the plants and all the animals. I also spend time supporting other Mama-owned, small businesses as a remote assistant. Lastly, it my honor to support and walk with women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum as a sovereign, radical birth keeper and family health consultant.

I give deep thanks to all of the friends, family, mentors, lovers, strangers, and “adversaries” who have stepped into my life as powerful teachers and guides along the journey of becoming thus far. I also thank God for showing me a depth of love I had forgotten was possible.

I believe that every experience (e.g. family addiction dynamics, personal health crisis, heart-breaking divorces, the loss of a child) has the potential to positively benefit one’s life and provide potent opportunities for growth & deeper self-understanding. I am intent on helping others step out of their own limitations and discover the immense potential of radical self-responsibility for their uniquely creative life path. It is through owning who we are, and what we came here to do, that we get to live our life on purpose in the way that only we can. When we share our unique gifts with others, the whole universe harmonizes just a little more. And that, my friends, is big.

Thank you for being here, as you, I honor that.

With love & creativity,

Alison Rockwell, CCDC
